About

Having pursued a career in the biotech industry for over twenty years, I decided it was time to reboot my painting skills.  I minored in 2D art at UMASS/Amherst with a focus on drawing and painting including oil, watercolor, acrylic, gouache, oil pastel, egg tempera, and early digital platforms. I credit one of my art professors, Paul E. Berube, for keeping alive my spirit to create and paint through all this time. My current focus is landscapes and still life in oil.  The paintings displayed here represent my efforts at rekindling this ability.  They capture places I’ve been and are hybrid works of plein air and studio, working from photographs and on-site sketches. I have another five paintings in progress and will upload images as I complete.
